HyperNiche software comes with a 24 page booklet for getting started.
The HyperNiche context-sensitive help system has a more
extensive text describing the programs available in HyperNiche,
focusing on the mechanics of running the programs. A companion pdf document explains
the rationale for using NPMR and HyperNiche and gives methodological details. The
method is presented formally in McCune (2006).

response surfaces pose difficult challenges to traditional habitat modeling tools. HyperNiche provides tools that easily find complex response
surfaces, such as this hump that combines sigmoid and Gaussian curves.
